Poster Wrap - Butterflies
Poster Wrap - Butterflies
Adapted from Papillons by E.A. Séguy (1925). Séguy used the pochoir technique, this is the intricate layering of paints using stencils, to create beautiful templates for use on textiles and wallpaper. This butterfly composition, accurately observed from scientific drawings, has been adapted to create this beautiful wrapping paper. Courtesy Smithsonian Libraries / Biodiversity Heritage Libraries.
