How do you ship patterned wrapping papers? 

We are precious about our papers and will always ship papers rolled so they will arrive in perfect condition, essential for a beautifully wrapped present, bookbinding or craft project.

JAPANESE DECORATIVE PAPERS 

I am looking for a particular Japanese decorative paper design, can you source this for me?

We stock an extensive range of Japanese chiyogami papers, indeed one of the widest selections of designs available from a UK based retailer.  However, there are a vast number of wonderful designs and colour options available so please get in touch if you are looking for a particular design and we will be happy to help.

Can I order full size chiyogami papers from you?

Yes. Currently we sell chiyogami papers in their half size format (approx. 640 x 480mm) as we have found this to be the most popular size required for bookbinding, crafts or wrapping.  If your project requires a full size sheet (approx. 640 x 960mm) please contact us and we can order this for you.

The colour of the Japanese decorative paper is slightly different to the image.

There are a couple of reasons that this may be the case.  When we stock a new chiyogami design we photograph the paper from the first delivery that we receive.  These papers are handmade in batches and there can be slight differences in colour between batches.  When we re-order new stock, this is usually from a different production batch and there can be variations (exactly like fabrics and wallpaper). Secondly, whilst we photograph the papers to represent them correctly, all online devices depict colours differently.  If you are ordering more than one sheet of any design and need them to be from the same batch please get in touch and we can arrange this. 

The paper has arrived with a soft non-creased fold in it.

When chiyogami paper is manufactured in Japan the paper is stored as a full sheet size.  For ease of handling and subsequent shipping these large sheets are gently folded which can result in a soft non-creased fold.  This does not affect the quality or the paper's usability.
