Japanese Paper String

This special flat paper string from Japan is made by first pleating the paper and then flattening it.  This process makes the paper string firm and strong.

As the string is flat it is gentle on the hands and easy to tie.  The generous reel of 20m in length makes a great alternative to plastic string or ribbon and can be used for gift wrapping; the expansion of the width allows for beautiful structured bows!  It also lends itself to a range of crafts such as weaving and basket making.  Made from 100% recycled paper.
