Batik Lokta Paper

A batik technique using hand-carved wooden blocks has been used to create patterns on the handmade lokta paper using wax as a resist.

Handmade in Nepal these wonderful papers are a fully sustainable product and prized for their strength, durability and versatility.  Use them for papercraft, bookbinding and arts and craft. The paper has a waxy feel and is more rigid than standard paper, but accepts adhesive well.  Due to the translucent nature of the batik lokta these are excellent for lampshade making.
