Chiyogami 1111C Paper - Sakura Rose

Chiyogami papers are screen printed by hand in studios around Kyoto, Japan.

The process to create a sheet of Chiyogami (also known as Yuzen) takes time and precision.  Each colour in the pattern is individually screen printed by hand; the sheet must then be dried between the applications before the next colour is accurately applied.

These beautiful papers are unrivalled for their fine detail and the luscious colour of the rich pigmented inks.

The paper, whilst light in weight, is supple to handle and strong with a good wet strength that makes it an excellent choice for covering boxes, bookbinding, origami, a broad range of creative work, home decoration and gift wrapping.

Each sheet measures approx. 490mm x 660mm, this is a half sheet size with a white edge on three sides. The printed area is approx. 480mm x 640mm.
