Patterned Papers

There is a real joy in working with quality paper.  At Quince & Quill we happily surround ourselves with many beautiful patterned papers. We select our ranges for their colourful stand-out designs (we have a particular passion for repetitions of geometries and botanical designs) but what makes these papers so special?

We like to source from and to support British designers and our range includes papers from several independent UK based companies.

Ola Studio are based in Bristol and expertly combine pattern and colour with a restful and simple aesthetic. Designs are inspired by artists such as Sophie Taeuber-Arp's with her joyful abstract art, patchwork artwork by textile designer Kaffe Fassett and the work of Enid Marx.

Ariana Martin is a designer working from leafy Leeds who has an MA in History Of Design and researched interwar textiles. Her joyful designs with the distinctive colour palettes are clearly reflective of her love of 20th Century pattern and textiles.

Heather Evelyn is an illustrator and designer based in South London. Her cheerful designs draw inspiration from her past and present; growing up in rural Suffolk and noting the changing colours of the seasons to the pretty pastel cottages and then a move to London, working in fashion, consolidated her love for colour.

Printed in the UK, these patterned papers are made of quality uncoated 90/100gsm weight paper that is FSC certified and printed with vegetable-based inks that make them fully recyclable.

Each designers' collection is well curated, it is easy to mix and match a couple of different designs for a coordinated "wrapping scheme".  As the wrapping paper designs are not targeted for a particular occasion this gives them wider appeal.  A selection of festive colour wrapping paper makes a great choice for Christmas but are ideal to use for other occasions and uses to.

Practically these uncoated patterned papers are soft to handle and durable.  The small repeat designs make these papers particularly suitable for many creative projects such a paper origami, decorations, craft and covering books.
